Aberdeen Art Gallery - Temporary Exhibitions
Aberdeen Art Gallery has a rolling programming of new temporary exhibitions throughout the year such as Leonardo Da Vinci sketches, a Quentin Blake retrospective and a major exhibition of masterpieces by Aberdeen-born William Dyce. One of the most celebrated artists of Victorian Britain, the exhibition marked the bi-centenary of Dyce's birth. Dyce championed the younger generation of Pre-Raphaelite artists who liked to paint serious art in a realistic style. The exhibition included his early portraits and his fresco paintings - which were painted straight on to the wall - especially those he did for the Houses of Parliament.
