Aberdeen Art Gallery

During the summer of 2006 a major new exhibition of masterpieces by William Dyce opened at the Aberdeen Art Gallery. William Dyce was a celebrated Victorian artist who was born in Aberdeen.

William Dyce and the Pre-Raphaelite Vision marked the bicentenary of Dyce's birth and was the first big exhibition of his work in more than 40 years.

William Dyce was considered to be an early champion of the younger generation of Pre-Raphaelite artists, who shared his desire to paint earnest art in a realistic style.

These short films and virtual scenes provide an insight into exhibitions preparation.
