Discover the 17th Century Bedroom

Provost Skene's House - 17th Century Bedroom

This is the 17th Century Bedroom. Most of the furniture in the room is of oak. The carved bed with cup and cover posts probably originated from the North of England. Originally the bed would have had hangings to provide both privacy and warmth.

The childs cradle is carved on the back with the original owners' initials and  the date 1717.
