Discover the 18th Century Bedroom

Provost Skene's House - 18th Century Bedroom
18th century Bedroom, with its delicately carved four poster bed. The tall boy of 1760 was used for storing linens and the dressing table opens up to reveal different compartments and a mirror. The bed is hung with drapes and a bedcover based on original 18th century fabric designs. In the corner is a washstand with a five-piece ceramic wash-set, a reminder that running water was not as accessible in the 18th century as today.
Painted Room
Be careful not to miss the small Painted Room linking this room with the Regency Parlour. Look closely to discover landscape panoramas with figures and urban settings in classical style.
