Discover the Entrance Hall
The entrance hall of the Tolbooth has been altered many times over the years and at one point may have lead to a 'dungeon' cell, underground.
The entrance hall contains the original column from Aberdeen's mercat cross. The cross formed the focal point for public events: celebrations held around it, the town guard were mustered at it and miscreants were punished in front of it.
