1900-1930 Artistic Movements – The Colourists
The Scottish colourists were four men who worked independently of one another but believed in the same approach to art. These men were Samuel John Peploe, John Duncan Fergusson, George Leslie Hunter and Francis Boileau Cadell. The group trained in France consequently borrowing from the strong and vibrant colours of contemporary French painting.
