Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museums (AAGM) is a collection of four buildings: the Art Gallery, Aberdeen Maritime Museum, the Tolbooth and Provost Skene's House.
The Art Gallery is a beautiful neo-classical building which has a fine collection of art from the19th to the 21st century. Aberdeen Maritime Museum with its spectacular view over the harbour traces the City's centuries of trade and industries connected with the sea. In Provosts Skenes' House you can see how wealthy people in the past lived. It also has displays of coins and archaeology. The Tollbooth Museum is one of Aberdeen's oldest surviving buildings. It presents the history and development of crime and punishment, local history and government in Aberdeen.
